  The whole experience seemed like some sort of crazy scam, nothing was legitimate about how they were running this damage/fee system. I very highly recommend looking somewhere else for your rental.

  Price I find a little high for the rental, but for convenience it can't be beat. Great area and they have everything you need.

  The canoes are well used with lots of scratches (which is fine, they work just great) but when I returned the canoe they just picked one of the scratches and said it was new and charged me $20. The life jacket was the same, they are old (again fine) but when I returned it they pointed out some pinhole, which you would expect in a jacket that old and tried to charge $45.

  Don't know what all the negative reviews are about. The people there aren't the most personable but nice enough and thorough. Important to go over the canoe with them to begin with. Just like if you rent a car people, protect yourselves.

  The location is beautiful. Canoeing was amazing. But the damage/fee process feels like a third world scam. The entire business model seems based on finding random scratches (on a well worn canoe) and charging the user for this upon return. Recommend this amazing piece of Canada, but please do yourself a favour and rent elsewhere.

  In the midst of planning some summer trips and reflecting on the past summer; I have to comment on this place. The well worn canoes at this place are repaired with a coat of paint... if you chip it, you pay for a fiberglass repair, which will actually be another coat of paint. I wouldn't trust the gear here, nor the rental policies, so if you go, bring your own boat and life jackets. Or, like renting a car in Mexico, buy every insurance possible and take some detailed pics.
